Zero balance is normal on first connect. Add money when you want a paid run. Failed runs do not keep the charge.

Know where to add money, what a run costs, and that an empty wallet is not a broken install.
Zero is normal#
The first time you connect, the wallet is often empty. That is the start of the path. The install already worked if the five Edgaze tools are listed.
The agent should send you here, then retry the paid run after the balance updates. It should not delete the MCP server or invent a new URL.
Add money#
Open Wallet. Choose an amount and pay. That balance is what paid MCP runs spend.
Use https://www.edgaze.ai/wallet. Do not send people to a different host.
After the payment lands, ask the agent to run the same slug again. You do not reconnect.
What a run costs#
Each workflow has one displayed price. The agent reads it from edgaze_inspect before it runs. That price is creator margin plus compute.
max_cost_usd is the ceiling you accept. The run cannot charge more than that ceiling. If the inspected price is above the ceiling, the agent should raise the ceiling with you or pick another workflow.

Failed runs#
If a run fails or you cancel it, Edgaze does not keep the charge. A hold is released. Ask the agent to try again only after you know why it failed. That is usually a missing input, not a missing connection.
What the agent should say#
When a paid run is blocked on balance, send the human to https://www.edgaze.ai/wallet, say the amount that was needed if the tool returned it, and wait. After they return, call edgaze_run again with the same slug and the same inputs. Do not start a demo unless they asked for one and inspect still says a demo is available.
