Overview#
B2B person and company data: profiles, contact details, investors, posts.
Use this block when its responsibility is clear in the graph. Give it a name that describes the work it performs, then test it with representative input before publishing.
Setting it up#
You do not need an Aviato account or API key, and neither does anyone running the workflow. Edgaze is Aviato's customer: each action has a fixed published price that is already part of the workflow's per-run price, so a run simply costs what it shows.

Filling in the fields#
Every field can be filled three ways: type it (a fixed value), from a step (a value an earlier step produced - pick it from a list, no paths to type), or text + steps (fixed text with values from earlier steps woven in). The panel shows what will be sent and tells you before you publish if a field is missing or points at a step that is no longer connected.
Limits and pricing#
Prices are in USD per call, include the platform margin, and are shown rounded up to the next cent; billing itself computes exact amounts. A run always reserves the maximum an action can cost before it starts, and lookups the provider gates out (for example an unmet required field, or a free preview) are not billed.

The most one call of this block can cost is $21.60 (Enrich companies in bulk with every option on). Batch actions bill per lookup and are capped at the vendor's own batch size.
Trying it#
Test runs make real Aviato calls and are metered exactly like a published run, so test with the smallest inputs first. Preview options return only enough to confirm a match and are free.
Working examples#
These are complete starting points, not decorative diagrams. Every graph is also available in the main template library and is checked by the workflow compiler.
1. Investor profile lookup#
You will build: A structured profile of the person, ready for an outreach or research step.
No API key or account is needed anywhere: the lookup price is already inside the run price. The run reserves the lookup's cost before it starts, and an unbilled miss never charges.
Open this template and adapt the labels, prompts, or credentials to your own workflow.
2. Company shortlist enrichment#
You will build: Full profiles for a shortlist of companies in one pass.
Batching keeps research cheap: up to 100 companies per call, each billed only when found. Per-lookup billing means a gated or missing company never costs a credit, and the batch ceiling is reserved up front.
Open this template and adapt the labels, prompts, or credentials to your own workflow.
3. Founder funding research#
You will build: The company's funding rounds, paged from real market data.
Funding history lands directly in the graph, without scraping or manual research. Reads are idempotent and priced per page, so re-running the research stays predictable.
Open this template and adapt the labels, prompts, or credentials to your own workflow.
Ports#
- Input: Input (
in):any, optional, multi_object. - Output: Success (
success):object, optional, single. - Output: Error (
error):object, optional, single.
Inspector#
- Action panel: choose the action and where each field's value comes from. See _Setting it up_ above for what it costs.
Behavior#
- Input requirement: Choose an action. Fields can come from earlier steps or be typed in.
- Execution: Runs through the platform's managed data provider connection; Edgaze is the customer, no account is involved on the runner's side.
- Timeout: 30000 ms by default (1000 to 120000 ms).
Cost#
Makes a metered third-party data call that Edgaze itself pays for; the action's price is included in the workflow's run price. The run reserves the action's maximum possible cost before it starts.
Security#
- No account is connected by anyone: Edgaze is the data provider's customer and calls it with the platform's own key. The per-call price is metered into the workflow's run price.
- Calls carry the platform's key only; no runner account, token, or personal data access is ever involved.
Retry#
A call is never retried by the engine, so a bug can never bill the same lookup twice; transient provider failures are retried once inside the single attempt before the step fails.
Production checklist#
- Test the happy path and one malformed or empty input.
- Keep credentials out of prompts and published graph configuration.
- Set a timeout and retry policy that matches the operation's side effects.
- Name the final result so a runner can tell what success looks like.
